Project Invent

Project Invent teams from across the US pitch the solution they have created for their community partner to a panel of judges from the tech industry, hoping to win funds to develop their product. For five years straight, teams from White Salmon have convinced judges to invest in their idea!

Project Invent teams form in September (year-long program) and January (semester program) each year. Teams typically have 4 - 6 students and meet once a week. Separate contests for middle and high school teams are held virtually and in-person in May.

Underwater ROV

Every year since 2018, teams from White Salmon have traveled to the Oregon Coast to compete in the regional SeaMATE contest, where the robot they have spent three months building from scratch must perform tasks underwater that mimic real life scenarios in marine science.

Underwater ROV teams form in January and meet on Saturday mornings. Teams typically have 4 - 6 students each and travel to the Oregon Coast for a weekend in April for their competition.
